Special Task Activities
Due to the aging effect, the turbines are prone to have a special type of maintenance where our special and dedicated team is working to get the machine to its maximum output. These activities are carried out by a competent workforce who have been specially trained for such activities. A few of the activities under STA;
Craneless services:
Availability and manoeuvring of the crane at the time of need is one of the major bottlenecks in the operation and maintenance of the wind turbines. Both the customers and the service provider suffer in terms of Loss in a generation for the customer and paying high cost of mobilization respectively. To mitigate this risk, RENOM has indigenously developed jigs and fixtures for erection and direction of major components like generators, gearboxes, bearings, single blade replacements, etc. without the dependability of cranes.
Tower and Blade cleaning :
Tower and Blade cleaning are an important aspect of aging of turbine. The towers and the blades are exposed to various environmental factors like UV, Rain erosion, sand erosion, dust, dirts, greases, fugus growth etc. in its life span . As the turbine ages, these debris increase the drag and reduce performance of the turbine RENOM offers special solution for cleaning of towers and blades with high pressure water jet cleaning carried out IRATA certified rope access professionals which reduces the cleaning time by more than half compared to the conventional cleaning method. RENOM also engages specially developed antifungal and anticorrosive agents for cleaning and coating of the tower. Cleaning can improve the power output to about to 8% by improving the aerodynamic efficiency of the blades
Technical due Diligence services
Technical due diligence (Technical Audit) of the assets helps customers to understand the condition of their asset in a holistic manner and helps them to take a suitable decision on their assets. A customer has the right to understand and mitigate all technical risks before he takes a decision on this asset, RENOM’s technical audit can help asset owners in this cause before he takes decision to switch over from the existing maintenance contract or to continue with the existing own. The audit is not only carried out on the asset but also on the BOP to help the customer understand the asset’s health in totality. A detailed Technical audit Report ( TAR ) is submitted after the audit is done
